This is the description.

Tonight was the monthly singing night, with a twist. The King’s Kids (with a lot of help from a few of the youth, our worship leader, and one very young at heart elder) wowed the crowd.

The highlight of the night was the three-tiered version of I’m in the Lord’s Amy. We began with the traditional version, or course. Then, we moseyed down to the farm for the Texas Cowboy version. And, finally, we went for something more radical, employing the rarely seen, but hilariously effective Gangster version. If you’ve never seen it, it’s a site to behold…trust me!

After the King’s Kids blessed us with their songs, we had a very special time of praise through song. It fit so nicely with the devotional thought of the night that was taken from Psalm 148 — Praise Him!

We happened to tweet the devo if you’re interested in catching some of the high points: http://twitter.com/PondSprings

The Pond Springs family wishes all of the fathers out there a wonderful Father’s Day. Our greatest example of Fatherhood, of course, comes from God the Father. He loves. He leads. He forgives. He guides. He trains. He helps. He inspires. He does everything that needs to be done!

Those of us who are fathers will never live up to the Fatherhood of God, but we can and should always lean on him for the help and hope to be the very best fathers that we can be!

The Leadership Retreat concluded today with a prayerful hope and optimism for what is and for what is to come. What an amazing time we had under the guiding hand of God and the leading of the Spirit.

In the coming weeks the robust work accomplished this weekend will be fleshed out and presented to the church family as we move forward with goals to achieve the mission. Please keep praying as we launch into the future with a fresh mission for the journey ahead.

This weekend, June 19th and 20th, the Pond Springs leadership team will meet for a time of prayer, fellowship and seeking the will of God.  These elders, deacons and staff ask you to pray for us as we gather to explore the blessings God has prepared for us for the years to come.

This special time of listening to God for future direction will be one of the most important leadership gatherings of the year. Please pray with us as we seek God’s will for shaping the vision, mission, goals and strategy of the church family for the coming years.

This retreat is not an end but a beginning. Following the retreat, we will continue seeking God’s direction, leading and blessing as we strive to glorify his name through the activities that He calls us to achieve in our future journey together.
